A two-track release directed precisely for the euphoric climaxes of your favourite club. “We call it Afro-gothic, this sound of ours”, GOMID reflect.
GO is a release for prodigal children. It celebrates those many forgotten children of the diaspora and beyond, their desperation, their sweaty anxiety, and their rebellious, uncontrollable joy. “She’s the biggest fan of her worst nightmares so, she love me!” echoes GOMID into a surreal percussive void. Reality bends here as the vocals are manipulated until they are indistinguishable from drums, drums indistinguishable from the voices in your head, ever a bop, ever a nightmare. Intoxicating in the ways usually reserved for sleep deprivation, GO is the soundtrack to their refuge, celebrating the desperate tension that brought these children there in the first place and the raucous unhinged pleasure that survives regardless.
Tongue, Side B of this single, is the climactic release. An ancestral operatic refuge to the tension, heavy guitar tones oscillate around an arcane spirit, slow and deliberate. This is a love song to all the fathers these club goers have abandoned, an anthem that will ring across time. “Lord of the forest see we speak their mother tongue.”
“This release is honestly even better than our last one, shorter and more precise like a dagger and so we needed someone to handle that with extreme care. TT fit the bill perfectly. And so, we hope you enjoy it!”

Oh cmon! Listening to "home" for the first time is like seeing a new colour for a first time. Its like alien music and its so good. Congratulations. Raven44
All the tracks are great but Stepper is the standout for me! pounding syncopated kicks, rolling handdrums and playful sample work, dancefloor destroyer. Jack G.
